Find Great Rates For Your Home
Roses are red,
bills suck to pay,
and in just a few days
it’s gonna be May!
All terrible late 90’s NSYNC references aside, tis the season of moving! Between students trying to find a new place to live after the school year is over, to families looking to take advantage of the summer vacation, it’s the perfect time to start looking at what your options are for some seriously cheap electricity. Whether you are reminiscing about Justin Timberlake’s nostalgic noodle hair, or eating ramen to save money, you can cut your monthly Duke Energy bills when you shop cheap energy rates in Reading, OH. Let’s check out these five great plans to get you started.
Great Starting Price
First, we’re starting off with a plan from Provision. Provision’s Monthly Plan is a variable rate plan that starts at 4 cents per kWh. Since it’s on a month-to-month basis with no termination fee, this plan is great for finishing out a lease or that last odd month before you move. Look out for jumps in the price after that first introductory month though! Variable rate plans can jump around day to day, meaning sudden, unexpected high bills during seasonal weather extremes.
Perfect For Those In-Betweens
Next contender is Starion’s Secure 7 plan. This plan is kind of an odd duck when you shop cheap energy. But, at 7 months long, it’s perfect for those weird in-betweens where one contract has ended and you’re waiting to move for the next longer commitment. This plan is only 5.09 cents per kWh, and has no termination fee! Even if you need to cancel early because plans have changed, you won’t get charged!
6 Months, No Hassle
Thirdly, we’re looking at Santanna’s Preferred Plus 6 Month plan. This plan is a fixed rate plan also at 5.09 cents per kWh. Unlike some of the other plans however, this one does have an early termination fee of $100. If you’re looking for a stable, low priced plan for your electricity for the next 6 months, be sure to check out this plan!
Short, Sweet & Cheap
Next, our penultimate plan is NRG’s Electric Choice Plan 3 Month. If you’ve got a lease to finish out, this is a great option for a short term fixed rate plan. At only 5.10 cents per kWh, this is a great budget friendly option. Moving out a few days earlier than you expected? You’re in luck, this plan has no cancellation fee.
A Great Plan With Benefits
Lastly we’re going to take a look at Xoom Energy’s SureLock 6 plan. This plan is one of the more expensive on this list, at 5.29 cents per kWh. It also has a cancellation fee of $50, if you leave the contract early. But what the Xoom plans do come with, is the Xoom Xtras. This benefits system helps give you gift cards, and coupons just for paying your electricity bill. If you’re looking for your plan to give you a little extra, this could be the plan for you.
